Christmas Tree

Finally we have a computer that works! So I'm back! We pick out a Christmas tree a couple weeks ago and decorated it. The kids had a really good time. Thank goodness for plastic ornaments! It was really fun to see them concentrating so hard to get their ornament just right on that particular branch. There was alot of focus and concentration going on that night. We talked about Santa, and how he's going to bring presents, Nehemiah told me he wanted a Rock and Roll Micky Mouse, and Michelle says she wants Santa...i don't think she really grasps the concept. Regardless they know that Santa is going to come and they are both VERY excited!

Today is michelle's 2nd birthday, geez I can't believe it's been a whole year since she turned one. Well for memories sake, Michelle love to eat pizza, tacos, sing twinkle twinkle, she loves her stuffed bear will hearts all over And her favorite blanket, she loves her new dog Nala, she sneaks the dog her food when she eats and always make sure the dog gets in the house. She is full of personality, she can hold her own against her big brother Nehemiah. She still love LoVES shoes. She's still super determined and strong willed, she's beautiful and she knows it. She loves her brother Nehemiah, they sit up in their room and tell eachother back and forth "I love you" "I love YOU" and it continues as it did tonight. Michelle loves her baby brother rocky and takes care of him really well, she likes to share her French fries with him. She's a sweet little girl full of spunk and determination. I lOve you my little princess happy birthday! I have killer cut pics that I'll post asap but our computer is down :( UPDATE! PICS!

The kids have just figured out that mommy and daddy have "real names" to which they have been getting a kick out of saying. So, last night I was doing the usual routine in putting the kids to bed. I'd already had the baby and Michelle asleep and I was working on Nehemaih. We read our normal two books sang "I am a child of God" and "Twinkle Twinkly little Star" and began our prayer. When i pray with Nehemiah I say something and he repeats it until we are done praying. the prayer went like this
me: please bless mommy
nehemiah: please bless mommy
me: please bless daddy
nehemiah: please bless chris.(pause) *giggleing*
me:please bless daddy
nehemiah: please bless chris *laughing*
me:please bless daddy

Nehemiah was dancing around making weird sounds with his mouth so I asked him to do it again so I could record it. So he did, with pleasure, and when he finished he insisted on seeing it so I showed him, his comment was "miah awtome" haha

Many of you probably know that my son Nehemiah loves to talk, but much of what he says isn't understandable to most. I always say that i can not wait for the day when we understand everything he's saying because he has alot to say and im sure its got to be funny! Well today i got a little piece of this funny. He was standing next to me in his underwear, and as i was admiring his beautiful skin he said "Miah brown", to which i replied, "yes, nehemiah is brown your skin is so nice" i then put his arm next to mine to compare, and said "Nehemiah's brown, what color is Mommy? is mommy brown?" "No" he said as he tapped his finger on his cheek in deep thought, "YEAH! Mommy brown!" he screamed as he pointed to one of my many moles on my arm....hahaha hilarious, there you go, i AM brown, i knew it all along!

the Fourth

Our fourth was SO MUCH FUN! The day started with Daddy heading to work, and the kids and i decided to go visit him. So i got the kids all dressed and patriotic for the day and headed to the airport. It was a good surprise and i think he liked it, actually i know he did, he LOVEs showing off his family.

Afterwards the kids and i headed to Walmart (*note to self: NEVER go to walmart on the 4th) to pick up food for our BBQ. We picked up all of our food and things and headed back home so little Miss Michelle could get a good nap in. The missionaries came over (YES Elder Butler was one of them) and when chris came home we headed to the park to start our BBQ. The kids played on the playground while chris did his thing with the grill, and the Elders tossed around the football.

Right after we finished feasting on our DElicious grub, it started pouring rain...we all sought shelter under the only tree around, and waited for it to pass.

It was Elder Senior's Birthday last week, its Brocks birthday on the 6th and its Elder Cabrara's Birthday on the 18th, so I made cupcakes so we could sing happy birthday to all of them. We had to do it under the tree since it was still raining. Here they are blowing out the candles...LOL

It was alot of fun to have them join us in our festivities, but they had to take off to an appointment they had set to watch fireworks. The sun was SLOWLY setting, chris busted out some of the kids fireworks, and Nehemiah was super into it. Chris taught him how to light these smoke bombs so Nehemiah would light these smoke bombs, and run to the basketball court with it to toss it. It was a good time. Fireworks had been going off for at least an hour at the point and it was constant popping coming from all directions. As the night grew darker more and more fireworks were going off. Here we were at this park in a residential area and there are BIG fireworks going off in 360 degrees. There was no need to go anywhere to "see" any fireworks show there was a show right there all around us. There is nothing like it, so cool, i really like the 4th in Montana. The kids had a good time with their glowing color things and watching the fireworks daddy was lighting and the ones all around us. It really was relaxing an just a good time.

I can't help but be overwhelmed with gratitude for my blessings. Im grateful for our Service members who continue to fight so we can live the life we do, im grateful to be an American, Im grateful for my Husband and children, and im grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am so truly blessed.

Bend Photo Shoot

So a couple weeks ago I drove with the kids to Bend OR, thanks to my Amazing Aunt Kathy. The kids had a great time playing with their cousins and having the freedom of running outside. It was fun to see my grandma and grandpa Moss. My grandma helped me look threw a big bin of old photos of our family and told me about who the different people were. I took my camera with every intention of capturing our trip on film but of course i left the memory card in our laptop back in bozeman...dang it! Anyways it was a great extended weekend of shopping, dinning, movie watching, chatting, ZUMBA (my aunt Amanda teaches and shes A-mazing!), and family time. My Aunt Kathy is a fabulous photographer with such amazing props and costumes to die for! So of course I could not leave Bend without my kids getting in front of her camera. Here is a little taste of the pics!

Car Ride

Every since Huggies (i think) came out with that new commercial of a little boy riding his Lightning McQueen threw his house, Chris and i have REALLY wanted to bust Nehemiah's out of storage and let him finally ride it again. So we did, the weather wasnt great, the wind was blowing like 100MPH and it was COLD but Nehemiah didnt care. We took him up to a gravel parking lot on campus, that doesnt get used much, and let him RIDE.

He was so excited he wanted to take his sister for a ride...

VERY cute but Michelle wasnt too much into the cold wind so her and I headed to the car to eat some left over chips from lunch

It was a fun little family trip, glad we took Nehemiah, its been way to long since he last got to ride his car.

the wind was pretty intense you can see from his face LOL. Now he is CONSTANTLY asking about his "big car". Hopefully we get some better days to make these trips a little more enjoyable for the rest of us. But, until then we'll suck it up for our boy!

Bozeman "Beach"

We have had a few AMAZING days in Bozeman so one one of thoes days (when chris didnt have to work) we took the kids to the BEACH!!!! hahaha well thats what the locals call it anyways. We had a great time soaking in the sun rans we havn't felt since we left San Diego, while the kids played in the "sand". While we were there a local news crew showed up, and because we were the only ones there asked us to do an interview....thank you to my husband he let me take the spotlight (I did NOT want to). Then they filmed the kids for a while as they played. The story played that night and luckily the edited almost my whole interview out because i sounded so dang stupid...haha. Anyways it was a really fun family trip, with our PB&J's, waterbottles, bubbles, sand castle molds, buckets, and shovels. Thank you for the fabulous day Bozeman, please bring more!

The Rocks Blessing

Sunday was a very special day for our family. Not only did we get to celebrate our Moms, and think about all they have done and sacrificed for us to be where we are today, but it was Rocky's blessing day as well. Since Chris is stuck working Sundays and can't make it to church we got special permission to do it at home. Thats not the only special permission requested for the day, Elder Butler also got special permission to be able to come over and be apart of the blessing. So Chris, Elder Butler, Elder Senior, and Brother Pulsiver (our home teacher and new 2nd counselor in the Bishopric) stood in the circle and blessed the baby. Chris did a fantastic job on the blessing, I couldn't be more proud...

Brock was also able to skype home from our house on Mothers Day. So amazing we get to have these experiances!

Bowling

It was snowing yesturday so we decided it would be fun to take the kids bowling...something we havn't done since we had Michelle. So we took them down to The Bowl and enjoyed some good ol' bowling. We of course got a bumper lane (for chris) haha, picked out some balls and got the little ramp thing for the kids and started bowling. Nehemiah ran out a couple times onto the lane, thus falling flat to his back, and Michelle did it one time but quickly learned her lesson. There was an Senior Tournament going on so the kids got alot of attention.

Michelle had a good time. She was always jumping out of her seat in anticipation for her turn (believe it or not).

Nehemiah was always excited for his turn, he couldnt wait to pick a ball, toss it down the ramp, and watch it hit the pins. VERY CUTE!

I feel so lucky to be able to see Brock while he is out on his mission. He has truly grown into a spiritual giant out here and its only been a year. Brock and his companion come over for dinner on Monday again, somehow Brock got that set up. We ate one of his favs, Stoffers Meat sauce lasagna. The kids were excited to see him again, it was nice that they remembered him because Brock really hasn't been able to spend time with my kids hardly at all since I've had them. Weird I think he's seen them more on his mission than before he got called...lol. Anyways he's doing really well, he's very happy, and his knitting skills have drastically improved! Ok so im a couple days behind, but better late than never right? I was thinking out St. Patricks day all morning and I didn't really have the energy to do a big craft mess or anything with the kids so i just decided to change the color of lunch. I bought the Annie's brand of Shells and White Cheddar cheese (so i could succesfully dye it green) and added food coloring to the water that the shells were cooking in, then i also added food coloring to the milk before i poured it in the mixture. So they had green mac and cheese and i dyed thier ranch dressing green, dyed their milk green, and seved them some yummy green grapes (and orange oranges and carrots). They both ate it! I was certainly supprised considering Nehemiah doesnt eat anything thats green! It was fun and the kids enjoyed it!

The Mask

We have this ski mask in our house, not sure where it came from, but its black and we figured how scared Michelle was of it one time when we went sledding Chris grabbed it to wear and Michelle freaked out, so Chris didnt wear it. It is well known in our house that the ski mask is scary and Michelle doesnt like it.

Today, our instigater (Michelle) got Nehemiah spanked, we figured out after the fact it wasn't Nehemiahs fault, Michelle just knows when to scream to get him in trouble. A few minutes after the spanking we here Michelle screaming followed by Nehemiah laughing. So Chris peaked around to corner to see what was going on, come to find Nehemiah putting the infamous ski mask on and standing with it on in front of her till she was blue in the face from screaming, then he'd take it off and laugh.

SCARY HUH? Maybe....just maybe Michelle learned not to mess with her brother. I'll keep my fingers crossed but i wont count on it.

Park!

We have been lucky enough to have several sunny, warm(50's), beautiful days in a row, so we had to take advantage of it and take the kids to the park. (its probably going to snow 3 feet this comming week....) Anyways, Chris tried teaching nehemiah to shoot some baskets. Nehemiah enjoyed it but he clearly prefered to be running around kicking the ball, i think he's really going to like soccer.

We're Back!

Ok so its offical, Im coming back to the blog! So for some updates, Michelle turned ONE last October, Nehemiah turned THREE last month and baby Rocky Aiava was born Febuary 18th! Yes ladies and gentleman that puts our total to THREE children under the age of THREE!

Little Monsters

The kids were playing in Nehemiahs room (or so i thought), so i was enjoying some quiet time, when i realized, quite time doesn't exsist....and that motherly instinct kick in and i knew they were into something. Sure enough they found daddys hair gel! My first instinct was to get mad, but then i couldn't help but remember the pictures of me at that age sitting on the bathroom floor by myself cover from head to toe in vasaline. Needless to say I let it slide, it made for some cute pictures!

Ok so for starters, CHRIS GRADUATED!!!! YAY FINALLY! :)

We move to Houston Texas (for the summer)

Mchelle started crawling in the Middle of May, as soon as that started she was pulling herself up on all the furniture and standing. On June 13th she got her first two bottom teeth! Her favorite new food is avocados.

We took the kids to go see Toy Story 3, Nehemiah LOVES Buzz. So latley Buzz has been flying around the house. He also loves to play at the park with his cousins.

All in all we are doing well and having a good ol' time out here in Texas!

Happy 6 Months Birthday to Michelle!!!

Ok so I can NOT believe that my little princess is already 6 months. She is a DOLL. Time goes by way to fast when you have babies...and I dont like it one bit! So at 6 months she's 23 pounds, 29 inches long, way off the charts, wears size 12-18 month clothes, wears size 4 diapers, wears a size 3 shoe, is talking away, grabbing everything in sight, smiling all over, LOVES her brother, can roll halfway over, sits up like a champ, has lots of slobber but no teeth, sings herself to sleep, not sleeping threw the night, loves Gerbers banana strawberry apple medly, and brings us all so many smiles and SO much happiness! I love you Michelle!

Easter

Easter was really nice. The Thursday before Easter Family Graduate Housing had an Easter egg hunt, that was Nehemiah's first. For his age group they just spead all the eggs all over the black top and let the kids go at it. Nehemiah didn't really get it, he thought they were balls so he started throwing them and he pegged this poor little girl in the face...poor thing! Nehemiah enjoyed himself for sure.

Saturday night after I put the kids down, when i was arranging their easter baskets Chris came over to look at them and said "Since when is easter Christmas?".... Okay so maybe I went a little overboard, but I dont care it was for my kids and it was fun! Nehemiahs favorite little present was his mini Toy Story characters he got. Thats definetly his new favorite thing is Toy Story. He LOVES Buzz, with a passion!

Michelle's favorite toy was that little flower rattle we got her.

We mostly spent the day watching Conference and in between sessions we decorated our eggs. Nehemiah used his Toy Story stickers, Chris colored with cayons, I took pictures, and Michelle watched.

I cooked my first ham...let me tell you that was so much work (not). I made some rolls (that was a bust) and I also made some Mormon potatoes. We took our cooking over to our friends the Kolste's and enjoyed dinner with them. It was a really nice day and Im so greatful I got to spend it with my little family.

California Trip

So I had always planned on being at Brock's Farewell and I'd followed Allegiant air for the past months waiting for the prices to go super low...which they never did and towards the end they got Really expensive. Then we found out for sure that Chris was going to have to work that week, and i just felt defeated, I just given up hope that i could be there. But then i talked to my mom like a week before his farewell and told her i wasn't going to be able to make it. After i got off the phone with her it hit me, Since when have i ever just not gone to something so important, and the answer is NEVER so why was i going to start now? Needless to say, I changed my mind, I loaded up the kids and took a sweet journey down to Carlsbad. It actually worked out because i was able to pick my Aunt Susan up in Salt Lake, then we picked my Aunt Christy up in St. George and Christy drove the rest of the way to Carlsbad! It was a super fun trip and my Grandparents on both sides were able to come. I'm very grateful that i was able to be there, that Sacrament meeting was so incredible, my Dad's talk was amazing, and then of course Brock's talk was very profound. I love my family so much and am so proud of Brock and his choice to serve a mission!

First Solids!

So Chris and I were sitting around last night, just hanging out eating dinner when he said, I think Michelle wants my food...shes ready to eat, LETS FEED HER! My initial reaction was NO WAY! My baby is too little (at least I'm in a dilution that she is). Plus feeding her is the next step in her growing up :(. All we had in the cupboard were bananas baby food, so, that's what she ate for the first time, some bananas!

She definitely liked the bananas, there was weird facing making or spitting out. She sucked them all down till she finished half the jar, I'd say that was a lot for her first time. I'm sad my baby is growing up so fast.....cant i do anything about it?

Im getting old

So i guess its official I'm ageing. You know how kids say the darntest things? Well Nehemiah doesn't have to talk to tell me im getting wrinkles. It's his new thing to come up to me with his eyebrows raised, wanting me to raise mine, then he'll run his fingers along my forehead and laugh.....

After he does the raising eyebrows he then brings them down to the mean face (still wanting me to copy him, and if i dont he will manually try to make my eyebrows go low). Then he'll continue to run his hands on my wrinkles....funny Mommy has wrinkles huh?

Valentines Day

Valentines was a fun day. We went to church then came home and made sugar cookies. It was especially fun for me because it was the first time Nehemiah "helped" me! He LOVED it! He definetly liked the dough more than the actual cookies! haha, thats okay that just meant there was more for Mommy!

Nehemiah's Birthday

Yesturday we celebrated the day Heavenly Father blessed us with our first angel. I can't believe hes two already. Chris's Mom and brother Jeremiah came up to celebrate. It was a Cars birthday threw and threw. From wrapping paper to a full size hot wheels car. He LOVES Cars! We started our day off taking Nehemiah to the fieldhouse on campus to ride his new Lightning McQueen race car! complements of his G&G Kolone

We then took him to McDonalds for his favorite food, french fries! After that we took him the the indor jumpy place. He loved watching his Uncle and Daddy wrestle in a big jumpy house. But his favorite was going down the jumpy slides!

After the jump place we came home, ate his favorite pasta from Johnny Carino's, sang Happy Birthday, blew out the candles, ate cake and opened presents!

We are so greatfuly for the love and support our family gives us, and at this time we are especially greatful for our sweet Nehemaih, he truely has lived up to his name.

Girl Cousins!

Chris's older brother Tony and his wife Tapa had a baby girl the day befor Michelle was born. The two were so beautiful and cute together. My Mother-in-law had always said she didnt know how she was going to handle girls (being that she had 5 boys of her own). But there were no issues their Grandma did a good job of lovin and spoilin them up!

California Trip

Being home was so AMAZING! thanks MOM! It was such a nice relaxing break. WE enjoyed the week on the beach with sun shinning, blue skys, and 75degree wheather. Now tell me exactly how that is fair that i had to go back to freezing temperatures? Its not i know, its just, i guess, i dont understand why people choose to live here when you could live there? Nehemiah and Michael (Brandon's son who's a month older than Nehemiah) had lots of fighting issues to work out. We learned quick what the dynamics were between the two. Michael (being much shorter)played the role of the instigater and Nehemiah was not gonna let him get away with it. Just a little example. The little boys were outside playing with two balls, one for Michael on for Nehemaih. As soon as Nehemiah would throw his ball Michael would go chase it, grab it then, RUN as fast as he could away from Nehemaih, with both balls! haha. Nehemiah would chase him down and grab onto that beautiful hair of his until he could get the ball back. This little patteren continued until i just decided i didnt want to deal with it anymore. So i left "nehemiahs ball" outside with michael and took Nehemiah inside to watch cartoons. A few minutes later michael came in the living room with "nehemiahs ball" and started flaunting around Nehemiah with it. Meanwhile Nehemaih was so zoned into the TV he didnt notice anything. Nehemiah was sitting on the floor and michael was litterly walking in circles around Nehemiah trying to get his attention. Michael then decided that wasnt working so he started yelling "NO" then he'd jerk the ball around his body in the opposite direction of Nehemaih. He'd then yell "Mine!" all in an effort to grab Nehemiah's attention and make him mad. Eventually nehemiahs eyes went off the TV and onto Michael....Thats when Michael went RUNNING and Nehemiah went to chase him down....haha.

Now Sean (Brandons older son) on the other hand was a doll the Nehemiah and even wanted nehemiah to sleep in his room with him. He let Nehemiah sleep in his bed and he slept on the foor. SO CUTE!

Air plane hell

We FINALLY were able to take a trip down to Caifornia and visit the family! Unfortunatly i will never do it without chris again! Nehemiah was on one the second we got to the airport. We arrived to the airport an hour and a half early (thinking that was plenty of time) however i did not anticipate how long it would take me to get threw security with two screaming kids....Let me just decribe the situation for a second. So i have two travel bags that i did not check, two car seats, two kids, a diaper bag, a dvd player, a stoller, a fluffy baby blanket and a teddy bear. I checked the two car seats and headed to security. To my dismay they made me take not only my sweatshirt and shoes off, but Nehemiahs, and Michelles UGH! As soon as i took Nehemiah out of the stroller to walk him threw the scanner thing he went running under the table and threw a blocked off area, now me with michelle in my arms, trying to take apart and fold up the stroller had to go chase him down, meanwhile michelle is cryin in my arms because she starving (totally my fault). I grab Nehemaih and he goes into the limp noodle thing with his body (and the kid is NOT light) while screaming. I get back to walk threw the scanner and the TSA worker says "he needs to walk threw by himself" I look up at the stupid lady with tears in my eyes and say "this is how its going to have to be", so i walked threw with the two screaming kids in each arm, then proceded to wait while they tested my stroller for whatever. I finally got everything settled (Kids were still screaming) but at least i got Nehemiah strapped down so he couldnt go anywhere. I then jump on the elevater, run to my gate and barley make it ontime to board, we were the last ones....and guess where our seats were....yep you guessed it, the very back row. hahah just my luck. So i get the kids out attempt to fold the stroller, grab my two bags, diaper bag, michelles blanket, nehemiahs teddy and his dvd player, by this point the sweet couple in front of me noticed i needed a little assistance so they grabbed what they could and we boarded the plan. Nehemiah in one arm (still limp noodle screaming) and michelle in the other arm with my diaper bag, teddy, and blanket, i side-step shuffled my way down the isle as the passangers either had great big smiles on their faces, judgemental faces, or tryed to pretend they didnt notice us....haha yeah right. We finally made it on, Nehemiah was a terror the whole flight. when we landed i of course waited for everyone to get off. then grabbed all my things and got off. Our stroller was supposed to meet us right outside the plane but it wasn't there! We had to wait a good twenty minutes for someone to go searching for it under the plane! Nehemiah meanwhile was trying to run out onto the runway and throwing a fit when i kept grabbing him. FINALLY they got the stroller, i got the kids in and i went to meet up with my mom. We went to baggage claim to grab the car seats and.......can you guess? they LOST Michelles!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!AHHHHHH AHHHHH!!!! hahah i can only laugh now that its all over!

So Chris has kinda been working on this "mean face" with Nehemiah, because he in fact is so natually good at it, Chris thought it would be funny to get him to do it on que. So i know this is a few days late but i didnt get a chance to post on her birthday cause we didnt have the internet, but now that im connected i just wanted to share these pic. I made some cute cupcakes with michelles favorite plumeria (made from gum paste) and favorite color. I made cupcakes last year for her so i really wanted to make some again this year. I plated them nicely and gave them to my friends...just sharing the love, and celebrating her special day in my own way....I miss you always and love you forever, till we meet again.

YAY!!! So theres only one more week till we get to travel 33 hours to home sweet home montana. yes i said it...Sweet Montana. Believe it or not we miss it. I haven't been able to update for a lil bit cause we lost our connection to the internet for a couple weeks but...luckily we got it back!!! YAY! So i thougt i would post some pics of our latest adventure...."the beach" We went because the company was having a BBQ there. I actually dont even know what the beach is called but its a bay and we had to pay 6 bucks a person to get in the stupid place, and then the "sand" was so hot chris got massive blisters on the bottom of his feet from walking across the sand to get to the jelly fish infested waters. Its was misserably hot and humid, and you know me i didnt dare get in the waters of the atlantic...especially after Shark Week on the discovery channel. Nehemiah hated the texture of the sand and would not even walk on the sheet on the sand with his sandles on. Luckily they had grass areas where we ended up moving so chris or i didnt have to have a sweaty baby on our sweaty laps.

Last weekend Nehemiah and i took the metro to downtown DC with my girlfriend Myra and her two girls. It sounded like it was going to be really fun for the kids from the website...unfortunatly we were disappointed. Air and Space Museum

So we decided yesturday to brave the crowds and go see the Smithsonians Air and Space Museum. It was actually quit interesting and Nehemiah definity enjoyed himself. He actually knew what an airplane/helicopter is because they fly over our aptment at least 5 times a day and i always make sure he gets to see them (he loves seeing them). It was a nice day to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Neil Armstrong walking on the moon.

So in case you still didnt hear...Im having a GIRL!!!! Indeed i am VERY excited to be able to use my sweet sisters name. I've been searching diligently for a middle name, but havn't found the perfect one...yet. I will, and it WILL be perfect! Anyways the fourth was fun. Unfortunatly we didnt participate in the Capitals fesivities (due to HUGE amounts of people) but we did have a good day enjoying the sun and watching the University of Marylands fireworks show. The whole day i could help but remember the amazing time we had a couple years ago at the lego land fireworks show, and if you were there YOU too remember how just very awesome it was! I was sad to be so far from family but all in all it was a nice day. Nehemiah loved the fireworks, which of course was a whole lot of fun! Im still working on the camera situation! so sorry for no pics again! And HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROCK!!! I LOVE YOU!!

So we finally made it here like three weeks ago. We hit a duck and took out the drivers head light on our way, real great. Nehemiah handle the drive well and enjoyed his much needed dvd player. Our apartment is way nice, its going to be pretty crappy to go back to our bomb shelters in bozeman when the summer is over. Chris has really picked up the job really quickly and is ranked number one first year guy! whoo whoo! haha anyways the weather hasn't gotten crazy yet but its starting to. I've been delaying updating because i busted out my camera when we got here and tryed to turn it on, needless to say the battery wasn't there....its in bozeman! UGH! so annoying! We haven't had access to the Internet until last night by some miracle we finally were able to connect to someone Else's wireless, I'm just crossing my fingers that it lasts. Nehemaih is now 16 months! crazy! He loves the new apartment because of the carpet, a luxury we don't have in MT. he is starting to use words like "da" which means dog, and i know this because he says da every time he sees a dog and also "hi" haha, thats a funny one, its his new thing to wave and say "hi" to everyone near him....constantly. He's got quite the aim, we could possibly have a quarterback on our hands, literally, his aim is impeccable! All is well in DC, we're doing good, im getting more prego 5 months today! yay! Anyways I'll do my best to get a battery soon so i can take pictures! and update with something you all want to see im sure.

WOW, thats about all the words i have to describe today. Its so crazy to think exactly a year ago i gave birth to the most precious gift i will ever have. My beautiful boy is now 1! I cant hardly believe it. Chris's parents and brother Jeremiah came to celebrate the big day, and needless to say it was eventful. We threw a big bbq and invited all the Uso's (chris's friends) and some of my girlfriends and their husbands who have kids Nehemiah's age. There was plently of tereyaki chicken, steak, rice, potatoe salad, chips, soda, stirfry, and of course cake to go around. Its been a great day and im so blessed. Happy Birthday Nehemiah!!!

St. George, HERE WE COME!!!

Okay everybody who is dedicated and set to achieve one of the most amazing goals and do it in the name of Michelle, October 3, 2009 is our offical date!!!! The St. George marathon has a "lottery" style registration process. Bad new for the 2008 marathon they had over 10,500 applicants with only 7,000 spots...the good news they moved that 7,000 up to 7,200 for the 2009 run. I've been trying to figure out how we could all get a guarenteed spot, and theres a couple options (however niether is guarenteed) the first being, i could try to make "We Love Michelle" a charity and if it was accepted as such, we could all have a guarenteed spot. the second option is, and i dont know how everyone feels about it, in the registration they give you the option for "group registation" that means that up to 5 of us can register as a group and we will count as one, so one chance to get picked either all 5 get picked or none of us get picked... This is all a little too stessful for me because i REALLY want everyone who wants to run this for Michelle to have that chance. So let me know what you think about the two options i've found so far... oh and registration starts on April 1 at 12:01AM!!!!

Chris's parent were able to make the VERY long trip up here to watch Northern Colorado (Tony's team- chris's older brother) play Montana State (chris's team) a couple weeks ago. It was alot of fun and Nehemiah really loved seeing his grandparents and uncles(and so did I!) Unfortunatly it was a really quick trip, but we'll get to see everyone at christmas time.

Nehemiah is loving daycare, we do activities all the times with the "infants". This paticular day we did fingerpainting with pudding and whipped cream. the other kids were hesitant to touch the pudding, however Nehemiah was VERY excited to eat it!

Believe it or not, we had our first snowfall of the winter this last weekend... I heard the storm was coming this past thursday and i knew Nehemiah didnt have anything appropritate for the weather so i went out to buy him some snow gear. He looks SO CUTE!

Sorry everyone for not posting in a really long time. I've been really busy doing a million things. OKay so lets catch everyone up...Nehemiah got his two bottom teeth it took a good 4 to 5 days of a high fever before they broke the skin and now he's feeling alot better. Brock's team played University of Montana on the same weekend that chris had a bi, so we went and watched his game. we moved into a little house on campus its really old, these houses, aka thebomb shelters, (theres like 50 of them) that was built during world war 2, they are all crammed together, but they are significantly less expensive than what we were paying at our old apartment. we got a cat, funny story, i Saw an add on craiges list for some free kittens, i got really excited, call to claim mine and went to get it, long story short, i got lost took me two hours to get there and when i finally got there the woman said "sorry theres no kittens left" i was pretty upset cause i got so lost trying to find this farm house way out in the country not to mention a half a tank of gas gone. the woman then said, do you want the mom cat? so, i got the mom cat. Lastly, i got a job working at a daycare in the infant room, nehemiah get to come and stay with mommy at work! im really excited about it!

The Drawer

Nehemiah has discovered "the drawer". Its the only draw reachable for him. He loves it. and he thinks he's so big when he's standing up with it. He started pulling out one of the pans and the second it hit our concrete floor and made a huge noise he instantly got scared and started crying....poor baby. He's growing so fast. I can't believe he's already standing on his own....crazy!!!

First Game of the Season

We call this face "mean muggin". Notice Nehemiah's eyebrows are exactly like his dads. Chris finally had his first game of the season. They played Adams State, a division 2 school from Colorado. At halftime they "temporarily postponed" the game due to severe lightning and wind and made an mandatory evacuation of the stands.... after about an hour they re started the game but no one was allowed in the stands, it was standing room only, which is basically non existent at this stadium. It was the weirdest thing. but finally they gave in and let the crow re-flooded the stands. They ended the game 59 to 3. Congrats to Chris he was awarded Defensive MVP.

sorry i've been extremely slacking. I've just got a bad combo of busyness mixed with laziness... Nehemiah is continuing to eat his food and he's growing SO FAST! He said mama (while crying) a couple weeks ago, and has said it a few times since but only while he was crying....until...TODAY!!! as i was in his room and he was in the family room, he clearly said "MA!!!" like he wanted me to come get him!!! yay! Nehemiah also murmured the word "dada" while bathing two days ago... he said it again yesterday, but unfortunately chris wasn't around either time the hear... Football season is about to start so chris has been really busy with two a days. We're excited for the season to finally start on the 30th. I bought nehemiah probably the coolest nikes for babies Ever! I'll take a pic of them and post it cause they are so cute!

We all went swimming, but it was the weirdest thing because the pool water was hot. Not warm not kinda warm it was hot. So unforunatly nehemiah couldn't go swimming for very long. None of us did infact, because it didnt feel good because it was hot outside.

We were very fortuante to vist my Great Grandma, very possibly for our last time on earth. It was a very neat experiance to be near her. I could feel michelle's presence with us as we visited her. Nehemiah was able to meet for the first time his Great Great Grandma. Its a very rarity that a person meets their Great Great Grandma, he was fortuante enough to be able too. She loved having him near her.

We went to bear world... Befor we did however we decided to smother our cars in oranges so the bears would come to our cars. It was alot of fun!

Sorry about not updating for over a week...thats a record for me, anyways we had to drive down to Malad and take care of a ticket, it just so happend that same weekend my family was all in Rigby Idaho waiting for the Boys at EFY. So Im VERY EXCITED. My wonderful, lovable, adorable husband took me to Golds Gym to get a membership!!!!! I AM SO EXCITED, its all a little TMTH... I feel like im young again, lol, i know that doesnt really make sence but the last time i had a pass to the gym was when life was good and i worked out daily (like 2 years ago). But now Stela's gonna get her goove back! haha. For some reason there is something liberating about being able to go to the gym and work on myself. I want to be "fat" again, well at least the siZe i was when i thought i was fat. Wish me luck....

Okay, So i know I've been slakin on the picture of the day, but for good reason. I decided to decorate Nehemiah room. We used to have a big old ugly full size bed taking up the whole room, and really we just had it for guests, which we get once in a blue moon. So i decided to take out the bed and really make it Nehemiahs room. I painted the walls, as you can see, and I also painted his armwa (I have no idea how it spell it). I'm particularly proud of how that came out. It used to be a boring natural green color, including the 4 squares but i used my creativity to make it not only WAY cutter but to match Nehemiahs crib. So i painted it, got some really cool bamboo handles (you cant tell from the pic), and took out those squares lined them with padding then i Gorilla glued the material to the wood, then put them back. I'm very proud of myself. Nehemiah even really likes it. He's drawn in by the paint on the walls.

The Drive Home

The drive home was horrendous, i couldn't tell you how i managed. We had to leave Bend Monday night at 10pm,drive threw the night to be in Malad ID (13 miles north of the Utah border) by 9:15am for court. And of course i had to do all the driving because my lovely husband has a suspended licence. As my baby slept so peacefully and Chris snored the night away, i found myself dozing off...So, i decided i needed an energy drink of some sort, so i stopped at the next gas station and decided to buy one of those 5 hour energy shots. It was the weirdest experience ever. I've drunk energy drinks by the gallons in my college days but nothing has ever affected me like this shot of energy. within a minute of drinking it i could instantly feel my eyes open big, and the energy entering my system. But then i began to burn up, my skin turned florescent red and began to burn. my body compensated by sweating... so lovely. this lasted about 20 minutes then it went away. So did it work you ask? of course it did, for 20 minutes of torture. We made it to Malad, went to court, stopped at Jack in the Box, then powered it all the way home to bozeman...

I decided to crown my self Driving Diva, due to my ability to drive with lack of sleep threw the night, morning, and late afternoon on no sleep, and really lame CDs.

I tried to focus on the beautiful scenery threw Idaho and Montana.

17 miles to go and i spotted the lovely weather ahead, a beautiful rain storm. (notice the dark storm clouds). I suppose coming home to a rain storm is much better than a snow storm.

So Im going to Oregon in two days and i cant hardly wait. I get to see my Aunt Kathy and Uncle Jon and their 5 beautiful children! Im so greatful for the Wiley family and all the support they have given me. This pic is just one of the small examples, my aunt kathy flew out to utah from Oregon just to see me run my marathon. I really cant wait to have a vacation and be able to realax and be with family in a non stressful situation. Plus theres a bonus for me cause Brandon and Celina are going too, so Ill get to see my little Sean Sean and Micheal Angel. Bend is a really beautiful place and IM SO EXCITED!!!! Hopefully the weather is better than Bozeman cause the weather SUCKS over here!!!

Eight Months

It's been eight months today, since i lost my sister. The anxiety from the mark of this day is starting to relieve, and i thought i would write my feelings down, for the first time. You know threw this whole experience i have fighted the urges to regret. I dont want to regret because i dont want to have to deal with that pain for the rest of my life. But i find myself miserable from the regret i feel about mine and michelles relationship before she got sick. I regret that our real sister bonding had to happen in the hospital. It tears my heart apart when i think about how many times i could have done more for our relationship growing up. And now i sit here alone at my computer thinking about the best friend i could have had. I think about what we would be doing right now, if she were still here. She would be graduating from high school next week and i know planning on going to school in the fall. She would probably come up to montana and stay with us for a good portion of the summer to be with the baby and i. I complain all the time about not having friends, i just want one friend who will walk with me or go to the gym with me or scrapbook with me or simply hang out with me. I would have had that friend. The anxiety is so immense my inside tighten up threw my neck making me incapable of swallowing. My heart physically aches in such an unbearable pain, i rely on that inner peace i know she put there to relieve the reality of what has happened. I miss her. but i know she's around. On a regular occurance I'll walk in on the baby laying on our bed by himslef laughing and playing with someone that i dont see. shes there. I just wish she was with me like that. I cant beieve it's been eight months, the number is so insignificat, it just that it's time. Time i could have had with her.

Almost an all-nighter

So one of chris's friends on the football team has a nintendo 64 that he so geneously let us borrow yesturday... We played all day and all evening it wasn't until the wee hours of the morning (about 4:00am when i decided it was probably the best idea to pull an all nighter playing nintendo...because of course i didn't think i was physically capable of going to bed so late and being in sacrament at 9 am. And of course its so much more fun playing without a baby in your lap suppressing your ability to beat your cocky husband at his own game. To make a long story short... we didnt make it all night and in consiquence we didnt make it to church either (i didnt set an alarm). I guess that is why the lord warns us to stay away from addicting things.... lesson learned
