California Trip

So I had always planned on being at Brock's Farewell and I'd followed Allegiant air for the past months waiting for the prices to go super low...which they never did and towards the end they got Really expensive. Then we found out for sure that Chris was going to have to work that week, and i just felt defeated, I just given up hope that i could be there. But then i talked to my mom like a week before his farewell and told her i wasn't going to be able to make it. After i got off the phone with her it hit me, Since when have i ever just not gone to something so important, and the answer is NEVER so why was i going to start now? Needless to say, I changed my mind, I loaded up the kids and took a sweet journey down to Carlsbad. It actually worked out because i was able to pick my Aunt Susan up in Salt Lake, then we picked my Aunt Christy up in St. George and Christy drove the rest of the way to Carlsbad! It was a super fun trip and my Grandparents on both sides were able to come. I'm very grateful that i was able to be there, that Sacrament meeting was so incredible, my Dad's talk was amazing, and then of course Brock's talk was very profound. I love my family so much and am so proud of Brock and his choice to serve a mission!

It was a REALLY fun trip and I'm so glad I got to spend so much time with my family! Love you guys!

First Solids!

So Chris and I were sitting around last night, just hanging out eating dinner when he said, I think Michelle wants my food...shes ready to eat, LETS FEED HER! My initial reaction was NO WAY! My baby is too little (at least I'm in a dilution that she is). Plus feeding her is the next step in her growing up :(. All we had in the cupboard were bananas baby food, so, that's what she ate for the first time, some bananas!






She definitely liked the bananas, there was weird facing making or spitting out. She sucked them all down till she finished half the jar, I'd say that was a lot for her first time. I'm sad my baby is growing up so fast.....cant i do anything about it?

Im getting old

So i guess its official I'm ageing. You know how kids say the darntest things? Well Nehemiah doesn't have to talk to tell me im getting wrinkles. It's his new thing to come up to me with his eyebrows raised, wanting me to raise mine, then he'll run his fingers along my forehead and laugh.....

After he does the raising eyebrows he then brings them down to the mean face (still wanting me to copy him, and if i dont he will manually try to make my eyebrows go low). Then he'll continue to run his hands on my wrinkles....funny Mommy has wrinkles huh?

Valentines Day

Valentines was a fun day. We went to church then came home and made sugar cookies. It was especially fun for me because it was the first time Nehemiah "helped" me! He LOVED it! He definetly liked the dough more than the actual cookies! haha, thats okay that just meant there was more for Mommy!

Nehemiah's Birthday

Yesturday we celebrated the day Heavenly Father blessed us with our first angel. I can't believe hes two already. Chris's Mom and brother Jeremiah came up to celebrate. It was a Cars birthday threw and threw. From wrapping paper to a full size hot wheels car. He LOVES Cars! We started our day off taking Nehemiah to the fieldhouse on campus to ride his new Lightning McQueen race car! complements of his G&G Kolone



We then took him to McDonalds for his favorite food, french fries! After that we took him the the indor jumpy place. He loved watching his Uncle and Daddy wrestle in a big jumpy house. But his favorite was going down the jumpy slides!


After the jump place we came home, ate his favorite pasta from Johnny Carino's, sang Happy Birthday, blew out the candles, ate cake and opened presents!



We are so greatfuly for the love and support our family gives us, and at this time we are especially greatful for our sweet Nehemaih, he truely has lived up to his name.

Girl Cousins!

Chris's older brother Tony and his wife Tapa had a baby girl the day befor Michelle was born. The two were so beautiful and cute together. My Mother-in-law had always said she didnt know how she was going to handle girls (being that she had 5 boys of her own). But there were no issues their Grandma did a good job of lovin and spoilin them up!

California Trip

Being home was so AMAZING! thanks MOM! It was such a nice relaxing break. WE enjoyed the week on the beach with sun shinning, blue skys, and 75degree wheather. Now tell me exactly how that is fair that i had to go back to freezing temperatures? Its not i know, its just, i guess, i dont understand why people choose to live here when you could live there? Nehemiah and Michael (Brandon's son who's a month older than Nehemiah) had lots of fighting issues to work out. We learned quick what the dynamics were between the two. Michael (being much shorter)played the role of the instigater and Nehemiah was not gonna let him get away with it. Just a little example. The little boys were outside playing with two balls, one for Michael on for Nehemaih. As soon as Nehemiah would throw his ball Michael would go chase it, grab it then, RUN as fast as he could away from Nehemaih, with both balls! haha. Nehemiah would chase him down and grab onto that beautiful hair of his until he could get the ball back. This little patteren continued until i just decided i didnt want to deal with it anymore. So i left "nehemiahs ball" outside with michael and took Nehemiah inside to watch cartoons. A few minutes later michael came in the living room with "nehemiahs ball" and started flaunting around Nehemiah with it. Meanwhile Nehemaih was so zoned into the TV he didnt notice anything. Nehemiah was sitting on the floor and michael was litterly walking in circles around Nehemiah trying to get his attention. Michael then decided that wasnt working so he started yelling "NO" then he'd jerk the ball around his body in the opposite direction of Nehemaih. He'd then yell "Mine!" all in an effort to grab Nehemiah's attention and make him mad. Eventually nehemiahs eyes went off the TV and onto Michael....Thats when Michael went RUNNING and Nehemiah went to chase him down....haha.

Now Sean (Brandons older son) on the other hand was a doll the Nehemiah and even wanted nehemiah to sleep in his room with him. He let Nehemiah sleep in his bed and he slept on the foor. SO CUTE!

Air plane hell

We FINALLY were able to take a trip down to Caifornia and visit the family! Unfortunatly i will never do it without chris again! Nehemiah was on one the second we got to the airport. We arrived to the airport an hour and a half early (thinking that was plenty of time) however i did not anticipate how long it would take me to get threw security with two screaming kids....Let me just decribe the situation for a second. So i have two travel bags that i did not check, two car seats, two kids, a diaper bag, a dvd player, a stoller, a fluffy baby blanket and a teddy bear. I checked the two car seats and headed to security. To my dismay they made me take not only my sweatshirt and shoes off, but Nehemiahs, and Michelles UGH! As soon as i took Nehemiah out of the stroller to walk him threw the scanner thing he went running under the table and threw a blocked off area, now me with michelle in my arms, trying to take apart and fold up the stroller had to go chase him down, meanwhile michelle is cryin in my arms because she starving (totally my fault). I grab Nehemaih and he goes into the limp noodle thing with his body (and the kid is NOT light) while screaming. I get back to walk threw the scanner and the TSA worker says "he needs to walk threw by himself" I look up at the stupid lady with tears in my eyes and say "this is how its going to have to be", so i walked threw with the two screaming kids in each arm, then proceded to wait while they tested my stroller for whatever. I finally got everything settled (Kids were still screaming) but at least i got Nehemiah strapped down so he couldnt go anywhere. I then jump on the elevater, run to my gate and barley make it ontime to board, we were the last ones....and guess where our seats were....yep you guessed it, the very back row. hahah just my luck. So i get the kids out attempt to fold the stroller, grab my two bags, diaper bag, michelles blanket, nehemiahs teddy and his dvd player, by this point the sweet couple in front of me noticed i needed a little assistance so they grabbed what they could and we boarded the plan. Nehemiah in one arm (still limp noodle screaming) and michelle in the other arm with my diaper bag, teddy, and blanket, i side-step shuffled my way down the isle as the passangers either had great big smiles on their faces, judgemental faces, or tryed to pretend they didnt notice us....haha yeah right. We finally made it on, Nehemiah was a terror the whole flight. when we landed i of course waited for everyone to get off. then grabbed all my things and got off. Our stroller was supposed to meet us right outside the plane but it wasn't there! We had to wait a good twenty minutes for someone to go searching for it under the plane! Nehemiah meanwhile was trying to run out onto the runway and throwing a fit when i kept grabbing him. FINALLY they got the stroller, i got the kids in and i went to meet up with my mom. We went to baggage claim to grab the car seats and.......can you guess? they LOST Michelles!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!AHHHHHH AHHHHH!!!! hahah i can only laugh now that its all over!

"Mean face"

So Chris has kinda been working on this "mean face" with Nehemiah, because he in fact is so natually good at it, Chris thought it would be funny to get him to do it on que. THis is just a funny little moment we were having with him. Nehemiah thought it was the funniest thing ever! He'd make the face then seconds later bust up laughing...He's actually really good with making his eyebrows look mean but he was way to happy and excited to really make the "mean face"...

 

 

Happy Birthday to Michelle

So i know this is a few days late but i didnt get a chance to post on her birthday cause we didnt have the internet, but now that im connected i just wanted to share these pic. I made some cute cupcakes with michelles favorite plumeria (made from gum paste) and favorite color. I made cupcakes last year for her so i really wanted to make some again this year. I plated them nicely and gave them to my friends...just sharing the love, and celebrating her special day in my own way....I miss you always and love you forever, till we meet again.
